Carolyn Fisher
Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 our computer club comes back into session, after a summer break. We begin our Fall session with a fabulous presentation on Microsoft Publisher, presented by Carolyn Fisher!
Sessions are from 9 AM to 11 AM and we meet at the VOCA Community Center, 690 Bell Rock Blvd, VOC on the second Saturday of each month.
Carolyn Fisher is well known in the Village of Oak Creek as someone who gets involved and loves to teach! Originally discovering Sedona in the 1970's, Carolyn didn't move here until 1994. Born in New Orleans and raised in Mississippi, Carolyn served in the Peace Corps in Southeast Asia after college; Carolyn received her undergraduate degree in Math and her MBA in Business Administration. One might guess how her time spent in Southeast Asia effected her, since following her time in the Peace Corps, Carolyn took a year off to travel and then returned to the U.S. and ran a travel agency! Carolyn joined the Air Force in 1974, where her career included being an Air Traffic Control Officer, a management consultant, and a planner, culminating in her retiring from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1994.
Carolyn's life in Sedona finds her deeply involved with the Sedona Literacy Center, Soroptimist International, Big Park Regional Coordinating Council, Sedona Public Library and St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Professing to be self-taught at computers, Carolyn is known to be quite knowledgeable about computers and well able to teach her subject! Whether you are just looking to create your own holiday newsletter for your family back East, or a personal business card, or you are a new artist, seeking to publicize your artwork, MS Publisher is exactly what you need to express yourself in print!
